A connector polls one controller on a building network (BACnet or Modbus) through a Windrow edge node and sends its points to Baler. Remote systems that already hold data (SkySpark, SQL, weather) are Sources instead. How to add a connector

How to add a connector

Protocol

The controller's IP (and port, if not 47808) and its BACnet device instance number. Press Enter to read its point list.

Optional. When a device with this name announces a new address (or, failing that, when this DNS name resolves to one), Windrow re-points the connector to it. Leave empty to keep the address fixed.

Device login

Stored encrypted on the edge node. Listings only ever show the username.

Sweep a subnet for Modbus devices

Probes TCP port 502 on every address in the subnet, from . Only sweep networks you're allowed to; some controllers log or alarm on unexpected connections.

Up to /22 (1,024 addresses) starts straight away. /16 to /21 asks you to confirm. Larger is refused.
